McCall's 4473 - fabric choices

Що ж - це перша вінтажна викрійка, з якою мені довелося працювати. Так як шиття в Україні знаходиться на рівні радяньских норм й щоб просто щось пошити треба пройти хоча б якісь курси - я вирішила розпочати з шиття по англійським викрійкам. Взагалі ресурси англійською круті, тонни інформаціі. Те, чого мені бракує українською, або хоча б російською. Але це питання на окремий пост.
Викрійка сіла майже ідеально - я перенесла нагрудні витачка на 2 см вниз, й подовжила на 6 см перед плаття.

Найбільшим викликом було зшити 73 частини для спідниці, але результат того вартував.
Якщо ви теж шукаєте класні старі викрійки, або вам цікаво шити ретро плаття - пишіть. Хочу комьюніті класних людей, яким цікаво шити не тілько по Бурді.

And several years ago I stumbled upon gorgeous dress which was nearly ruined - the sleeves and skirt were the only whole parts. The woman who had it wore a belt and so the bodice was stretched and torn.
Then - long story short - I found a fabric that suited perfectly to the dress and the whole picture of this project came to life.
I needed some minor alterations - moved the bust darts 2" lower and lengthen the bodice and got the great fit.

The main challenge was to piece 73 parts for the skirt. Something more of a quilt at first. But as I sew I saw the dress coming to life more and more. Now the blouse with bishop sleeves from the same pattern would be appropriate.
